Sustainability and c-suite remuneration

Fewer than one in ten UK CEOs have any form of remuneration link to sustainable goals according to research from Vlerick Business School in the Netherlands.

Considering the pay levels, habits and incentives of CEOs and CFOs in 899 major European companies (including 159 UK firms) the researchers, led by Xavier Baeten, found that only 6 per cent of UK CEOs have environmental targets for pay, and an insignificant number have any long-term incentives.
