Norway: electric cars overtake fossil fuel

Over half of new car sales in Norway are now electric. According to figures from the Norwegian Road Federation (NRF) nearly 60 per cent of sales in March went to electric in a country that has vowed to end new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2025.

A combination of tax breaks and public consciousness has helped propel fully electric car sales to 31.2 per cent, in part helped by the release of the new and cheaper Tesla Model 3.
