UKSIF welcomes new members

The introduction of the three new partners comes shortly after the announcement of the launch of UKSIF’s Green Finance Initiative, in cooperation with the UK government’s Green Finance Strategy, indicating that UKSIF may be bringing in new investment, software and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) consultants to aid in the development of this programme.

Heartwood Investment Management is the investment management arm of Handelsbanken in the UK, indicating diversification on the part of the Swedish multinational bank, as it joins the sustainable investing market in the Britain.

Neural Alpha is a smaller company, focused primarily on investment and risk assessment software development, operating out of London and Warsaw. Started in 2016, the small tech firm’s interest in ESG investment software is likely what attracted the eyes of UKSIF.

Lindsay Smart Consulting is a self-described independent sustainability and impact consultant. Despite having held positions in some recognisable corporations, Smart has been working as an independent consultant since early 2019. This partnership with UKSIF could put Smart in contact with their register of associated businesses, providing her with access to potential clients.

These three new partners could benefit from UKSIF’s roster of ESG investors and other partners. Heartwood has the opportunity to extend and diversify Handelsbanken’s investments in British sustainable industries, while Neural Alpha and Lindsay Smart, the smaller firm and independent consultant will have an array of new potential clients, and a government-backed project to take part in.
