Accountancy firm Advancetrack is donating £50,000 it has been awarded in damages following a trademark infringement case to good causes and charities in the UK and India.
The money was awarded to the West Midlands based firm after another company was found to have infringed its trademark.
Among those benefiting is Coventry based Midland Langar Seva Society, which provides meals for people struggling with the cost of living crisis. It has received £5,000 from the firm.
Advancetrack's managing director Vipul Sheth recently visited the charity to take part in helping coordinate, prepare and cook meals.
This is part of an ongoing partnership with the charity, which supports those living on the street, in safe houses or on the poverty line.
“This isn’t just about giving back, it’s about doing the right thing and upholding the values of integrity and fairness that we believe should define our industry,” said Sheth.
“The damages we received from the court case have given us an opportunity to make a positive impact, and supporting inspiring organisations like MLSS is just the beginning.
“We’re committed to continuing our work with MLSS and helping them expand their incredible efforts to support those in need.”
He added We’re incredibly proud to support the amazing work of MLSS. Spending the day with their team and seeing first-hand the difference they make to people’s lives was truly humbling.
“It really hit home seeing how grateful families were for something as simple as a hot meal. It’s a reminder of how vital this work is.”
Advancetrack is headquartered in Coventry and has bases in India and Australia.
