The winners of the Better Society Awards were announced last night at a gala in central London.

Hundreds of leaders from across the corporate and charity world gathered to celebrate the success of CSR across UK-based organisations.

Among the winners were British Airways, who took home the Best Scheme to Encourage Staff Fundraising award; Cornerstone Place, which took home the prize for Impact Company of the year; and Berkeley Group, which won the top spot for the Environment Award.

Several charities and their corporate partners also took home trophies, including Macmillan and Santander; Columbia Threadneedle Foundation and AT The Bus; Fragomen and Talent Beyond Boundaries; KPMG and Marie Curie; and Aico and Little Stars.

Comedian Andrew Ryan hosted the event, which is now in its ninth year, and handed out prizes for different 25 categories.
