Camden Town dedicates its drinks

Camden Town Brewery has rebranded one of its best-selling drinks to help UK’s healthcare heroes.

The North London brewer has changed the name of its Camden Hells lager to now become Camden Heroes, with all proceeds of every can sold donated to charities supporting our healthcare heroes and all NHS workers able to claim a free six pack.

The brewery is also donating 20,000 cans directly to frontline staff at hospitals, ambulance stations and clinics in London as a direct ‘thank you’ for when staff clock off after their shift.

Jasper Cuppaidge, founder of Camden Town Brewery said: “We had so many people contacting us from hospitals asking for beers to replace their weekly pub team visits. That’s why we created Camden Heroes Lager to say a massive thank you to the amazing healthcare workers and show our support the best way we know how, brewing beer. We are so grateful to all the incredible frontline workers risking their lives during this global crisis. Let’s raise a socially distant cheers to UK health workers.”

Camden Town Brewery also recently hosted an auction on Twitter for the most valuable pint of Camden Hells delivered to two metres to the winner’s front door. The pint was sold for £800, with Camden matching the winning bid and donating £1,600 to Hospitality Action’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund.
