UK rises to top 5 for attractiveness of renewable energy investment

The UK has risen into the top five countries for the attractiveness of renewable energy investment and deployment opportunities, in the latest Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI), ranking the top 40 countries in the world.

The EY rankings reflect assessments of market attractiveness and global market trends. The US and China remain at one and two respectively, while Australia has reached its highest position so far at three.

The top three are followed by India, the UK, Germany and France. The UK was in seventh place two years ago, and sixth last year.
