Diversity calls from CEOs and FCA

A letter to CEOs has been published from the current CEOs of Co-operative Group and Marks and Spencer calling for a move to greater diversity, as the FCA has also published a proposal that might link progress to diversity to remuneration in the financial sector.

The letter asks UK CEOs to join a pledge to ensuring workplaces are inclusive, measure progress annually against 10 areas of diversity and inclusion, which were first introduced in 2020 through an inaugural report from the McKenzie-Delis Foundation, and implement clear accountability for CEOs and leadership teams

Meanwhile, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Bank of England have put out proposals to increase diversity in the financial sector. The FCA even go so far as to propose that senior management remuneration could be linked to progress.
