John Lewis & Partners has linked up with the charity Look Good Feel Better to help boost the confidence of those impacted by cancer.
It is running Styling for Confidence workshops with the charity that are “designed to empower individuals affected by cancer”, said the retailer.
This involves “helping them regain confidence, adapt to body changes, and rediscover their personal style in a safe and supportive environment”.
“These sessions mark a significant milestone in the charity’s mission to provide practical and emotional support to those undergoing cancer treatment,” added the charity, which helps those impacted by cancer with the cosmetic and physical impact of cancer treatment.
The workshops are being piloted in Glasgow and Oxford Street, London, where the retail firm has high profile stores, ahead of a national roll out. These are the first in-person workshops being run by the charity in a decade.
“It’s our aim to work with Look Good Feel Better to support their beneficiaries to feel good in their clothes whilst they’re going through a really challenging time, and to help them regain their confidence when they’ve gone through a period of time where they don’t even recognise the person in the mirror,” said John Lewis head of services Livia Evans.

“We really want to support Look Good Feel Better in helping as many people as possible, so we’re looking to launch workshops with them nationwide, over the course of this year.”
The charity’s head of cancer support services Sarah Emerson added: “Seeing our Styling for Confidence workshops come to life is truly wonderful. We know that for many people living with cancer, changes to their appearance can deeply affect their self-esteem and sense of identity.
“These sessions provide not only practical styling advice but also a space for emotional support, helping individuals rebuild confidence and embrace their journey with strength.
“We are thrilled to be bringing this initiative to life in partnership with John Lewis & Partners and look forward to expanding it further.”
