Lloyds goes electric and joins EV100

In January, as reported here, Lloyds Banking Group announced that it would aim to reduce carbon emissions and would announce products and services in 2020 to support its own footprint reduction and that of its customers.

The Group has now announced that it has joined the EV100 initiative for electric vehicles and RE100, both programmes being supervised by the Climate Group. The Group also joined EP100, making it the sixth company to be in all three of The Climate Group's business sustainability initiatives.

The Group will now attempt to electrify its fleet of vehicles and encourage suppliers do the same, offsetting any remaining ICE emissions, aim to purchase all energy from renewable sources and drastically reduce the energy is buildings and infrastructures use.
