Synetiq has signed a green parts contract with esure, to supply quality graded, recycled parts to its repairer network, and support the insurer’s efforts in the decarbonisation of its supply chain.
“This is a significant agreement and underlines the importance of working together to drive cost savings and reduce emissions,” said Tom Rumboll, CEO at Synetiq. “Cutting the motor insurance industry’s carbon footprint is a priority - as part of a successful integrated and circular model, Synetiq and esure will work side by side to maximise the environmental and financial potential of every vehicle.”
The new agreement builds on an existing partnership between the two companies that began in 2019; and will help esure policyholders play their own part in reducing the CO2 impact of collision repair. Last year, esure’s repairer partners purchased over 3,300 green parts from Synetiq, saving over 79,000kg of CO2e.
