Solar pipeline joining Australia to Singapore

A plan to build a 3,000km undersea cable so that solar energy can be exported from Australia to Singapore has received a major boost from billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes through his investment vehicle, Grok Ventures.

Reported by Australian site RenewEconomy, the plan is part of a Northern Territory government-backed plan to build a 10GW solar farm and a potential 20-30GWh storage facility.

Cannon-Brooks helped coax Elon Musk to build the Tesla battery in Australia, and it is likely that Tesla will provide the technology for the project, albeit that this battery would be several magnitudes larger.
