Healthcare provider, Simplyhealth, has announced a collaboration with the Woodland Trust to encourage customers to move away from paper-based communications.
The partnership, worth £250,000, aims to encourage customers of both Denplan and Simplyhealth to enjoy the benefits of going digital, all whilst supporting the environment.
For every e-mail address registered during their 'Go Digital' campaign, Simplyhealth will donate to the Woodland Trust to help und their Free School and Community Tree Packs.
Donations of £5 will be made for individual Simplyhealth customers, £500 for corporate customers and £1 for Denplan patients.
The campaign launched in September 2024 and by the end of the year, 43,545 customers had registered their e-mail addresses, delivering a total of £75,101.
“Revolutionising how the healthcare industry helps people to stay healthy, also goes hand in hand with how we protect, sustain and regenerate our natural environment," Simplyhealth chief customer officer, Claudia Nicholls said.
"We believe that health and the environment are inextricably linked, and without a healthy planet, we ourselves cannot truly thrive," she added.
"Through our wonderful collaboration with the Woodland Trust and with the support of our customers going digital, together we are improving access to healthcare, using our business as a force for good, and supporting our vision of a healthier UK.”
Woodland Trust head of partnerships, Sam Tarrant added: “Simplyhealth’s support for our Free Trees scheme will make a significant impact on communities nationwide, and we’re delighted to welcome them as a partner.
"Their generous donation will enable the Woodland Trust to provide thousands of young people and local communities with the opportunity to plant a tree, inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards and contributing to vital UK tree cover targets.
"Partnerships like this play a crucial role in creating meaningful change, and we greatly value Simplyhealth’s dedication to sustainability and community support. We look forward to working together to create a lasting legacy for woods and trees.”
