The Hornsea Project Three offshore wind farm has been given development consent. The wind farm, offering a capacity of up to 2.4GW located off the coast of Norfolk has been green lit following a six-month examination.

The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) had already issued a letter stating that he was minded to approve this application subject to further information from the applicant and Interested parties on a number of specific issues. This has now been completed and a final positive decision was made on 31 December 2020.
