The Mallard Pass Solar Farm, potentially the largest solar farm in the UK, has ended with opponents saying that giving a go ahead to the project would endanger wildlife and reduce agricultural land.

The farm would cover the same area as 1,700 football pitches and be eight times larger than the current largest solar farm. The application is being brought by Windel Energy and Canadian Solar, and a decision on the plans is due to be made by the Government in spring next year.
