Nisa takes many small steps for social impact

Retailer Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) programme is looking to raise greater awareness, and expand the positive impact it has on communities across the UK with two new engagement tools.

The first may seem a rather basic addition in that the retailer is adding new collecting tins to the campaign, but the addition has already inspired Nisa members to order 400 tins over the two days alone, and these tins will allow retailers to accumulate funds quicker and give even more support to local causes within their communities.

In addition, the charity’s website (www.makingadifferencelocally.com) is undergoing an extensive update and redesign, with new functionality, a charity news section, details of suppliers who are supporting the charity and a ‘heat map’ of where donations have been made through Making a Difference Locally.

Making a Difference Locally will also be launching new branded PoS later in the year for retailers to further engage customers with the charity and highlight the initiative in-store.

Each element represents a small change, but again illustrates the ability of small differences to collectively make a significant impact.
