Santander’s Changemaker Fund has been granted increased funding, providing social enterprises and community projects the chance to present on the Crowdfunder website and unlock matched funding if the crowd support their ideas.
Santander has made £200,000 available to a second phase, following its successful pilot, for organisations that focus on skills, knowledge and innovation. Successful applicants will receive 50 per cent of their funding requirement from the bank.
So far the Fund has provided nearly £200,000 to 33 projects, supporting projects such as Change Please in London, providing training for homeless people to become baristas and Chocolate Worx, a chocolate-maker in Devon that employs disabled people.
