Fiat has announced the removal of all non-electrified vehicles from sale in the UK. This will take effect from 1 July 2022 with the whole Fiat range now coming in electrified forms.
The manufacturer will now only offer EVs or hybrid vehicles, and Fiat now offers at least one low-emission version for each model.
Last year saw the biggest annual increase in electric vehicle registrations with an 88.3 per cent increase in BEV, a 43 per cent increase in HEV, and an 18.5 per cent increase in MHEV.
Greg Taylor, Fiat and Abarth UK MD, commented: “This step in Fiat’s history marks a pivotal point in our commitment to providing affordable and sustainable mobility solutions for all of our customers. The move lends itself to our vehicles which are suited to urban areas, spearheaded by the popularity of the New 500.”
