Global marketing agency Team Lewis Foundation has taken a novel approach to supporting charities around the world. The company incentivises its 600 staff across 24 offices throughout Asia, Europe and North America to donate at least £1,000 to a cause of their choice on behalf of the Foundation.
Since launching in 2021 over a million has been donated, and the employee-directed programme has helped major projects with the Ukrainian Warrior Games team, The Music Man Project, Daughters of Tomorrow and the High Fives Foundation. Since launch, over a thousand different causes have been assisted by the scheme.
The three causes most chosen were chosen social care & community 28 per cent, healthcare & medical research 23 per cent and humanitarian 18 per cent.
Samuel Dean, CEO of the Foundation said: “We created this foundation to break the mould of standard CSR programmes. What it does is simple - it gets cash into causes chosen by our colleagues, and it does it directly, quickly and then follows up with further support.”
