PR firm offers pro-bono support to Greater Manchester Mayor’s homelessness charity

Manchester and London based communications agency Fourth Day is to provide pro-bono PR and content support to the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity.

The move is part of its charity partner programme and will see the agency work with the charity’s chief executive Fran Darlington-Pollock to raise awareness of the charity’s work to tackle homelessness.

This includes it’s a Bed Every Night initiative which the charity says has prevented more than 78,000 nights sleeping on the street among those threatened with homelessness.

“Everyone at Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, and the charities we partner with, are acutely aware of the homelessness and rough sleeping challenges that exist across Greater Manchester and the UK”, said Darlington-Pollock.

“There are wide ranging socio-economic factors that contribute to this and continually communicating these issues, both regionally and nationally, is crucial in driving change.

“Fourth Day has extensive experience of running thought leadership campaigns and we look forward to working with the team to ensure these issues are always on the news agenda.”

Caroline Fletcher, senior account manager at Fourth Day, added: “We’re delighted to work with Fran and the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity as this year’s chosen charity.

Previous good causes Fourth Day has supported pro bono for its charity partner programme are The Running Charity, Paper gallery, Climbing Out and 53two.

The PR agency also has bases in Paris, Berlin, Casablanca and Brisbane.
