More than 80 stock exchanges in the global Ring the Bell for Gender Equality initiative will celebrate International Women’s Day 2020 (8 March) by hosting a bell ringing ceremony to raise awareness of the pivotal role the private sector can play in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The UN Global Compact, UN Women, Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (SSE), International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Federation of Exchanges and Women in ETFs are working together for the sixth consecutive year, following a very successful collaboration in 2019.
