easyStorage, the mobile storage business created by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, has teamed up with Fresh Food for the Frontline and St Barnabas Church Charity to deliver fresh food boxes to critical care NHS staff as well as vulnerable individuals to support their fresh food supply throughout the coronavirus crisis.
easyStorage is employing its fleet of lorries to transport fresh produce purchased from farmers in the Cotswold to London. This is currently being distributed to frontline NHS staff. Each fresh food box includes fruit, vegetables, bread, milk and eggs, providing NHS workers with a week’s supply of healthy basic produce. Volunteers and the Coronavirus Support Group are also distributing fresh food boxes to vulnerable individuals, such as the homeless and low-income families, from St Barnabas Church in West London.
Tim Slesinger, CEO and Founder of easyStorage, commented: “We’re delighted to partner with Fresh Food for the Frontline to help give something back to the NHS staff who are risking their lives every day fighting coronavirus.”
easyStorage is asking for more companies join the Fresh Food for the Frontline initiative, to expand the scheme to help more NHS staff throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
